This team maintains the campus grounds by doing activities related to site beautification, event setups, maintenance of land escaping and other services. The team coordinates internal signs for the university including signs showing room numbering and department names directional signs across campus, traffic and parking signs in collaboration with transport team.
The team is directly accountable to the Head of Construction and MaintenanceDepartment. In addition it is in charge of providing an environment that is safe, well maintained, comfortable, aesthetically pleasant and attractive and also sustainable environment on the entire site.

Duties and Responsibilities are:-

• Is responsible for organizing, planning, directing, staffing and monitoring the operation of the team.
• Coordinates and ensures the application of established policy and procedures are in compliance with the applicable proclamation, laws and regulation.
• Maintains and cares of all play grounds, sport fields and the like so as to meet the recreational and competitive needs of the universities committees.
• Is beautifying and decorating the compound for great event venues when ever there will be festivals, celebration and graduation ceremony.
• Provides custodial services for all locations in campus, establishing a clear and attractive environment to live, learn and study.
• Performs various grounds maintenance task as needed and in collaboration with maintenance team and waste disposal  team such as mowing/edging/landscape areas, pruning trees, cutting brush/tree limbs, raking/ blowing leaves, trimming hedges etc
• Initiate, coordinates and organize the community for individual tree or green area development and protection
• Preparing  monthly, quarterly and annually performance and budget plan and schedule repaired for the team
• Establishes and maintains/cultivates its own grass and plant nursery.
• Facilitates and carries out intra-building movies, furniture removal and storage as necessary.
• Is responsible in supplying adequate irrigation/drainage, mulching, fertilizing and pest control.
• Facilitates a mechanism for personnel's of this group to have training to perform specific tasks such as pruning, fertilization, spraying of pesticides, seeding and the operation of specialized mowing equipment etc.
